Tennis great Venus Williams has decided to part with her longtime home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, listing it on Wednesday for $2.695 million, Mansion Global has learned.
The six-bedroom house has all the elements of a classic South Florida mansion, with grand, sun-filled interiors, a clay-tile roof, and a pool and cabana. The property spans about one acre, making it one of the largest lots at the BallenIsles Country Club, a gated golf community in Palm Beach County where notable residents also include disgraced political lobbyist Paul Manafort, according to property records. Her sister, Serena, also owns a home nearby.

Ms. Williams, 38, has owned the property for two decades, buying it in 1998 for $525,000 and building the lavish, 8,500-square-foot house over the next two years, according to property records.
She had a resort-like pool and spa installed, as well as an outdoor gazebo and a 5,000-square-foot patio that overlooks a man-made lake, according to building permits recorded in 2000.
Inside, the two-story house is built with an open floor plan, soaring ceiling heights and floor-to-ceiling windows. The main living rooms feature marble floors, while the tennis pro detailed the bedrooms with warmer hardwood floors and crown molding.

The home boasts a cozy home theater, library, gym and juice bar, according to the listing with Andrew and Michael Leibowitz of Leibowitz Realty Group. The agents declined to comment.
The second story of the home contains a large loft area and private guest suites.
Ms. Williams, currently No. 40 in the Women’s Tennis Association singles rankings, has also delved into interior design. She launched an interior design firm, V Starr, based in Palm Beach County, as well as her own fashion line, EleVen, in 2007. Ms. Williams was not immediately available for comment.
