Manchester United defender Luke Shaw put up for sale a contemporary six-bedroom home he owns outside of Manchester, England, earlier this month.
The 6,000-square-foot home with soaring windows and lavish interiors is in Hale Barns, an affluent village about a 20-minute drive from Old Trafford—Manchester United’s home stadium. The home hit the market for £2.795 million (US$3.53 million) in early December with real estate agency Jackson-Stops, but has recently come off the market.
A spokeswoman for the real estate agency confirmed the house is not currently listed for sale. Though it’s not clear whether Mr. Shaw has already found a buyer or will market the home more discreetly.
The 23-year-old footballer is one of Man U’s top performers and moved to the team in 2014 on a £30 million deal—then a record payment for a teen player.
Mr. Shaw co-bought the luxurious Hale Barns home with his father, Charles, in 2015 for £2.45 million, according to a title document filed with the U.K. Land Registry.
Built in 2015, the home stands on a flat, half-acre lot surrounded by grassy lawns and a canopy of trees and hedges for privacy, images of the home show.
Oversized, architectural windows flood the open living spaces with light. The three-story house boasts under-floor heating, a games room, a gym and home theater, according to the now-removed listing with Jackson-Stops.

The master bedroom has a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom. The next owner could combine rooms on the third level, now comprising an en-suite bedroom, study and sitting room into a single penthouse suite, according to a video formerly advertising the home.
An email sent to Mr. Shaw via Manchester United was not immediately returned.
