Nicki Minaj Is Most Muted Artist On Spotify

Some few days ago, we reported that popular music streaming platform, Spotify is set to introduce a mute and block feature which will allow you to steer clear of all the artists you don’t want to see anymore.
According to a report by Verge, Spotify is currently testing the “don’t play this artist†mute or block feature’s functionality in its iOS app.
In what can be considered a shocking turn of events, the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap music, Nicki Minaj has become the muted artist on the platform. This is according to a report by Real Rap Fact.
It is gathered that since Spotify rolled out the mute feature, the “Anaconda†hitmaker has received over 11.6 million mutes on her Spotify account.
She is however reported not to be alone as the singer, Chris Brown is also said to have the same number of mutes and Spotify is planning on muting Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown from getting Radio Play.
Minaj who has no doubt done well for herself in rap music has had her throne threatened since the emergence of music rival, “I Like It†hitmaker, Cardi B. Minaj’s reign as the best selling female rapper in the last eight years has been broken by Cardi B who is reported to have become the highest selling female rapper in the last two years.
It would be recalled that in 2018, the duo had a public showdown that ended further fuelling reports of a rivalry between the two stars.
