It has been said that if you are thoughtful,you will be thankful.The above scripture talks about or admonishes us about thanksgiving in a very interesting fashion.The opening is actually the most interesting part to me though because it states clearly that in EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS.This suggests that it is not only in the good times that you give thanks to God.By good times I mean when everything is rosy,good and wonderful. New cars,new houses,new businesses, credit alert,marriage, babies etc these are good things that in turn birth good times.However we also have to give thanks for the bad times.Loss of a contract,loss of a job,debit alerts,house rent dues and even loss of a loved one.Now I know this is the difficult part because you will ask yourself 'How will a good God allow bad things to happen to me?'As Christians we must recognise that giving Him thanks in all situations of life is His will for us.That is to say that is what He wants from us.He expects us to always thank Him not just because of what he has done or will do or what He is capable of doing but we are to thank Him for who He is.
You may have lost a lot of things in your life but God is the major reason you have not lost everything. So choose today to be more thankful to God.In the good times and the bad times.

Life is a test,trust and a temporary assignment.
