We are with you in your suffering – Fani-Kayode tells Southern Kaduna people
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, has observed with dismay the policy of President Buhari led-administration favouring Muslims in appointments against Christians.
Speaking in Southern Kaduna at a Church programme, the former minister explained that the Southern Kaduna people have not been treated fairly under the present administration at both the federal and state levels.
He revealed that other parts of the country were strongly behind Southern Kaduna people in their challenges and enjoined them to be focused and resolute till their tears were wiped away.
“The people of Southern Kaduna have suffered a lot, they should understand that they are not alone in the struggle but we in the Southern part are solidly behind them in their pains and continue to be with them,†he assured.
He added, “The Southern Kaduna people have continuously contributed their quota to the development of the country and deserved to be given fair treatment as Nigerians.â€
Fani -Kayode condemned in strong terms the pattern of one-sided appointment policy adopted by the present administration which according to him favours Muslims over Christians, a situation he said was not suitable for a country like Nigeria that is multicultural and multi-religious.
He advised the people to wake up and vote credible leaders that have policies that are peaceful and people oriented towards ensuring purposeful leadership in the country.
He also observed that good governance is leading the people with equity and justice, in addition to protecting and defending them anytime, the need arose, stressing that any government that did not do that to all its citizens, should be changed.
On the removal of the Chief Justice Of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, he described it as an embarrassment to Democracy, and barbaric treatment to an important personality at the wrong time.
