Kidney is a vital organ in the human body that helps in filtering blood and producing urine. Apart from the removal of waste product and toxins from the body, kidney also help in secreting hormones that help produce red blood cell, promote bone health and regulate blood pressure.

Here is some basic function of the Kidney;

Production of Hormones.

Below are some of the causes of kidney disease:

1 Keeping urine for long.

It is not a good idea to live urine for long in the bladder. Whenever the urine returns to the ureter, the toxin substance can be infectious to the kidney. The urine that stays in the bladder multiplies bacteria quickly.

If the bladder is healthy, it can store up to 16 ounces (2 cups) of urine for about 2 to 5 hours.so is advisable to answer the call of nature quickly.

2 Taking Too Much Caffeine.

Caffeine act as a natural stimulant by activating the central nervous system. Caffeine is the main ingredient in coffee. It can increase your blood pressure and your kidney will start suffering due to the struggle with high blood pressure. It is advisable to drink less than 3 cups of caffeine a day. However, reduce or try to moderate the amount of soft drinks you take in.

3 Lack of Much Water.

Our kidney should be hydrated properly to perform their functions very well. When there is lack of water, toxins will be accumulating in the blood. It is advisable to drink more than 10 glasses of water daily.

4 Eating of Much Red Meat

Protein is found in meats. Excess protein can affect your kidneys. When Protein is digested, ammonia is produced which is a toxin that can affect the kidney. It is advisable to reduce the amount of Red meat intake in our diet.

5 Too Much Salt intake.
