- Liverpool were on Wednesday night, January 30, forced to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City
- Sadio Mane scored for Liverpool, while Harry Maguire got the goal for the visiting team at Anfield
- Liverpool are still topping the Premier League standings with 61 points after 24 games played
Liverpool on Wednesday night, January 30, missed the chance to go seven points clear on the Premier League standings as they were forced to a 1-1 draw by visiting Leicester City.
It was a tough encounter at Anfield that could have gone either side as the two teams played excellent football from the blast of the whistle till the end.
The match was also the battle of the midfield between Naby Keita and Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi who was superb for Leicester City.
A well-earned point for Claude Puel's men.

Liverpool scored first in the 3rd minute through Senegal international Sadio Mane, and it was Brazilian football star Roberto Firmino that assisted the goal.
Mohamed Salah had a chance to increase the scoreline for Liverpool in the 22nd minute when he was set up by Joel Matip via a long ball, but he was unable to beat goalkeeper Kasper.
The visitors got their equalizer in the 45th minute through Harry Maguire who benefited who a powerful shot played by Wilfred Ndidi.
Liverpool tried all they could to get the winning goal in the second half, but Leicester City held on for an incredible away point at Anfield as the match ended 1-1.
Jurgen Klopp's men are still topping the Premier League standings with 61 points after 24 games played this season.
