The Bible says- Do not let your heart envy sinners...-Proverbs 23 vs 17-18.
There are certain prayers people say which are wrong. A certain man was opportune to meet a rich man who was his neighbor, he never had opportunity to see him because most of the time, the rich man was out of the country. After collecting money from him, he said Lord make me like this man, the rich man heard his prayers, told his driver to alight from the car, while his neighbor came to sit beside him. He opened his trousers for him to see the diseases he had been carrying for years without cure, that is why most of the time he was out of the country while most people thought he went to enjoy every three months not knowing he was going to buy some drugs and go for checkup which won't make the disease smell to others. Immediately the poor man said, i dont pray to be like you. Dont pray to be like anybody. Dont pray to be as wealthy as anybody, you dont know the secret of their success. Most of the time it what you hear about them that makes you judge or like them.
You are born different; to be great and make meaningful impact anywhere you find yourself. Sin has made some people's life stagnant and they think the situation of the country is also affecting them, not knowing- Isaiah 59 vs 1-20 and Isaiah 3 vs 10. Your case is different has a righteous man or woman have that in mind(Not to a rising and falling person,not to a backslider, not to a church goer who thinks going to church has made him/ her a Christian, not to a man who doubt the Lord in his ways and stumbles.
1) Dont say God bless me as you bless Tolu. Your blessing supercedes that of Tolu,dont let your blessing be limited.
2) Dont say God give me wisdom has you have given .....
2) Dont say God please i want to buy car like dupe's own what if God is planning a bigger one for you(and at the time you have the money, what if their are better ones to buy)
4) Dont say i want to start living like her, what if her private life is worst.
Finally dont direct your prayers based on a man's success, God has something bigger in stock for you than the other man's success. Dont pray to be like anybody. You are one in a life time being. Talk to God to bless you and not like someone else- Philippians 4 vs 19.
