All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Edo South, Patrick Obahiagbon, has congratulated his opponent, Senator Matthew Uroghide, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on his election in penultimate Saturday’s National Assembly elections.

A statement  by Obahiagbon and made available to journalists yesterday said: “I want to thank the entire members of APC in Edo South  and indeed Edo State for their unwavering support, now that the senatorial  district election result has been officially released.

“I also want to thank members of my campaign team for their tireless work and all my friends across the world who gave me their support.

“It was an election we worked and fought for gallantly and with a singular determination to provide a vocal and effective representation on behalf of our senatorial district.

“I like to thank the indomitable National Chairman of our great party, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, for their support.

“I am also using this medium to congratulate my brother, Senator Matthew Uroghide, in his moment of joy.

“We remain robots in the hands of God.”
