A Chief in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo State Chapter, Femi Babalola (Jogor) has revealed that the party won the just concluded governorship election conducted in the state as a result of failure of the Ajimobi led-administration.
Babalola gave the revelation in the political program, Gbangba Lasaata on Splash 105.5FM, Ibadan with Abiodun Adewole (Mr Double) at early hours of Monday, 18th of March, 2019.
According to him, the party’s candidate in the last governorship election but now the governor elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde won as a result of Gov. Ajimobi ‘s failure.
“We won the last governorship election because of Ajimobi’s failure. This makes people to love us. We had their massive votes during the last election. His failure gave way for our victory.
“Truly, this present administration had tried their best but their endeavor never reached the commensurable standard expected by the people, and they never execute their policies align with the people’s desire. So, these eased our own victory.†He said.
He further revealed that, the Lord had already revealed the party’s victory to them even before the election was conducted but they decided not to cast the revelation then until now.
While responding to the positions to be shared among the party that merged with PDP in the forthcoming administration, he said that, Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Action Democratic Congress (ADC) and PDP are one family because PDP gave birth to them all. Evidently, PDP serves as their father. As a result, this issue is settled hence all the parties have already know their respective positions allocated to them in the imminent government.
He, however, showed his dissatisfaction over the Incessant collapse of buildings in Nigeria, and he urged the Physical Planning and Urban Development Agency in every Local Government Area to endeavor in moving round their respective territory to inspecting the drawings of building to prevent further collapses. They should ensure to give approval to drawings before contractors starts building.
