Arsenal star Denis Suarez , and his hijab- clad girlfriend , Nadia Aviles, earned social media opprobrium when he posted a photograph of the two of them at Kuwait’s Grand Mosque on recently .
He had captioned the Instagram post : “ I will be always behind you !â€
Many respondents condemned Suarez , a Spanish national , for taking a selfie at the Muslim holy site.
The football star is photographed standing a step behind his girlfriend , Nadia, who posed in a beige scarf covering her head and shoulders .
