AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has
revealed he wants to do everything to
keep wantaway striker Gonzalo Higuain
from leaving the club.
The San Siro legend jokingly said he
wished he could hide the Argentine in
his apartment when he made the
statement to reporters.
The former Italy midfielder is not
happy either with the 31-year-old
striker who could join his former
manager Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
The center-forward has been linked
with a move in January to Stamford
Bridge as Sarri is looking to replace
misfiring striker Alvaro Morata.
And Gattuso has confirmed Higuain has
told him he wants to leave Milan.
The Italian said: "When a player makes
up his mind it becomes hard to convince
them otherwise.
He added: "I have a relationship with
him that features great honesty - we say
things to one another's face.
"At the moment, he's our player and
we're holding on tightly to him.
"I don't know what will happen. If it was
up to me, I'd keep him at my house and
feed him my dinner!"
Higuain equaled the all-time Serie A
goal scoring record in the 2015/16
season under Sarri during his spell at
Napoli.
The ex-Real Madrid star is currently on
a season-long loan from Juventus and
has scored eight goals so far in all
competitions for Milan.
Higuain's arrival at Stamford Bridge
will hasten Morata's exit who was not
listed in the Blues 2-1 victory over
Newcastle at the weekend.
Morata has been linked with three
Spanish sides including Sevilla, Atletico
Madrid and Barcelona despite being an
outcast at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported
that AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso
has admitted that Argentine striker
Gonzalo Higuain wants to leave San
Siro.
The 31-year is who currently on loan
from Juventus has been linked with a
move to solve Chelsea's attacking
problems in January.
