Monaco Reportedly Reach Agreement To Sign Out Of Favour Chelsea Star Batshuayi by Glory2019: 08:49 am On 1 Jan 2019
The 25-year-old spent the first half of this
season on loan with Valencia but was
unable to impress the coaches at the
Mestalla
- Bat man, as he is fondly referred to, will
now re-unite with his former national team
assistant coach Henry in France for the
rest of this campaign
French League side AS Monaco have
reportedly reached an agreement to
sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on
a short term basis.
The Belgium international joined
Spanish League side Valencia on a
season long loan deal but the club are
said to have terminated his deal
prematurely.
During his reign at the Mestalla
Stadium, the 25-year-old scored just
three goals in 23 appearances in all
competitions.
A not too good stats compared to his
time at Borussia Dortmund, where he
scored seven goals and one assist in just
10 Bundesliga matches.
The striker will now spend the rest of
the 2018-19 season playing for his
former national team assistant boss
According to AS quoting Canal + France
reports that Monaco vice-president
Vadim Vasilev confirmed that Batshuayi
is set to leave and will join the Ligue 1
side.

The publication further revealed that
Batshuayi trained at Paterna with the
rest of his Valencia team-mates this
morning as the side prepare for the
Copa del Rey second leg against Sporting
Gijon.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Spanish
League side Valencia were planning to
terminate Michy Batshuayi's contract
mid-season.
Speaking at a press conference on
Thursday, January 10, Valencia’s
sporting director Mateu Alemany
confirmed the Belgian forward will be
returning to west London this January.
Alemany further explained that talks
are underway with another club to loan
him in the second half of 2018-19
campaign.
