Two African legends Didier Drogba and
Mikel Obi sent a heartfelt message to
their former teammate Petr Cech after
he announced his retirement from
football at the end of the season.
The ex-Czech international officially
made it public he will be hanging his
gloves at the end of the current season
after 15 years in the Premier League.
The 36-year-old who won many trophies
with Drogba and Mikel during their
spell at Stamford Bridge was showered
with accolades by the two west African
stars on their respective Instagram
handles.
Drogba said: "I would need Millions of
words to describe you, your good heart,
your professionalisms and winning
mentality but one picture summarise it
all.
"Thank you my Hero for having Golden
Hands and Heart.
"Man saved three pens and run into me
like I’m a legend.
"What a career you’re gonna end in few
months.
"Love to the family."
On the other hand, Mikel said: "It has
been an honour to have played and won
so many trophies with you."
Both Drogba and Mikel won Premier
League titles and FA Cups with veteran
goalkeeper including the famous
2011/12 Champions League triumph.
FC porto shot-stopper Iker Casillas and
Real Madrid number one and former
Chelsea teammate Thibaut Courtois also
paid their tributes to Cech.
