The Premier League side projected
revenues of £593m in latest financial return
- Five English topflight clubs made it to the
top 10 in the list released by UEFA
Premier League campaigners
Manchester United have edged reigning
European League champions Real
Madrid to top the new rich list of
European clubs.
Despite the Red Devils' failure to make
meaningful impact in the Champions
League in recent years, the Old Trafford
club projected revenues of £593m in
latest financial return.
Real Madrid have won the last three
Champions League titles, but Spanish
clubs are generally struggling to keep
pace with the Premier League sides.
And according to the report on Daily
Mail, Manchester United narrowly
defeated Spanish club Real Madrid in
the latest rich list made available by the
European football governing body.
The report added that Manchester City
(fifth), Arsenal (seventh), Liverpool
(eighth) and Chelsea (ninth) all feature
in UEFA's top 10 reflecting the financial
muscle of England's top-flight.

Premier League clubs make the top 10
in the rich list of European clubs, while
Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only
sides that come from Spain.
This put the Premier League clubs
comfortably on €5.3 billion ahead of La
Liga (€2.9 billion), the German
Bundesliga (€2.8 billion), Serie A (€2.2
billion) and Ligue 1 (€1.6 billion).
Meanwhile, Manchester United are
currently occupying sixth position on
the Premier League standings with 41
points after 22 games played this term.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how
Portuguese football manager Jose
Mourinho launched an astonishing
attack on his former team Manchester
United claiming that the Red Devils does
not have structure for modern football.
The former Real Madrid and Chelsea
