A true christian is tested by the way HE/she faces HIS/her situation, trials, and temptation around HIM/her. our faith lives need to be tested and temptation,affliction,sickness etc are the examination we must take that will separate impurity in us,strengthen us and inculcate GOD'S character in us;hence,they are not there to to kill or devour us but promoting us to the next level spiritually and physically which may be financial breakthrough,miracle,good health etc. Sin easily hides when there is no trial or temptation i.e one might be prayer,have love,trust and faith in GOD as a mere Christian, but a true christian is proven when one overcome such temptation and trial when they come. For example,in times of prosperity and success a stingy man seems to be generous and a wicked man seems to be kind and good. And also in times of prosperity,success and love in the family a cheating wife or husband seems to be faithful,loving and submissive but when there is temptation and trial,when HE or she is not longer lovable ,pretty anymore,crushed financially etc HE or she flirts and become unlovable. Taking this to our experiential encounter for more comprehension and proper application,there was when l sold my phone and needed money to buy another phone,and i had no money. Men asked me for my number and I told them I didn't have a phone and they suggested to buy one for me but knowing their evil intention ,i refused because it was a temptation which i didn't want to give room to. Fortunately, by HIS grace I was able to overcome the temptation of money even though i needed it and that tested my trust in GOD and HE provided for me and I bought the phone of my choice which i am recently using. coming to your own experience you narrated to me how a girl spoilt your 21 days fasting and prayer. Actually, She was a temptation which you supposed to resist because the devil had seen that you would gain from what you were doing so HE prevented it by using that lady;hence,your love and sacrifice for GOD was tested. But that doesn't mean you can't improve or make you not to be faithful in your prayer which is normally caused by the devil making one to feel condemned and unworthy in the presence of GOD when we pray because of the sin he caused us to commit,but rather make you to acknowledge and learn in case of another time after asking for forgiveness. I am not condemning you neither am i being perfect but the difference between my and your experience is the grace of GOD which is sufficient enough for us to activate and make use of because grace become active when it is activated. Sometimes,what we see as an disadvantage can turn out to be an advantage take Soul as an example that was converted to Paul and his conversion brought many souls to GOD. I really like your honesty. Honesty eradicates sin ,gives room for repentance and for grace to be activated and used while lies hide sin ,yield more sin and doesn't give room for repentance and grace.
