Entertainment / Veteran Rapper, Lord Of Ajasa In Critical Health Condition – Solicits For Funds For Treatment by afeeztunde5(m): 12:31 am On 1 Jan 2019
Reports reaching us has it that Veteran Nigerian rapper, Lord of Ajasa is in dire need of financial assistance for surgery in order to return to a state of good health, as he’s been diagnosed of Peptic Ulcer and needs to undergo an operation ASAP.
Obviously, he is not financially buoyant to foot his hospital bills and is feared to be at the verge of losing his life if good Samaritans do not come to his aid. His colleague, veteran singer Alariwo of Africa appealed to fans and other colleagues on IG to come to his aid. Sharing a recent devastating photo of Lord of Ajasa, he wrote:
“My dear colleagues, our brother, Legendary Nigerian Afro hip hop artist and pioneer of Yoruba rap, Segun Osaniyi aka Lord of Ajasa is critically ill & needs funds to undergo a peptic Ulcer operation. He’s now at Ikorodu general hospital where he’s receiving treatment. However, he needs to be moved to a more equipped hospital so as to get the best medical attention.”
“I got a message from his wife begging me to speak to his colleagues to save her husband. When I called Ajasa earlier today, he, Ajasa confirmed that the story is true. Let’s all come together as fast as we can to help out as nothing is too small. Supporting him financially to stay alive is the best remedy than saying sorry, which we reject in JESUS name.”

Entertainment / Falz Slams Feminists Who Criticized Him For Saying “he Detests Transactional s*x” by afeeztunde5(m): 12:29 am On 1 Jan 2019
In Falz’s new song, “Talk,” in which he said Buhari spent three years of his first term “holidaying,” he also called out “runs girls” over transactional s*x. Feminists criticized him hugely for singing so, to which he replied saying.
“Feminist in the building. Shamelessly, I’ll continue to say it, I detest transactional s*x. It’s my pain, it’s what I believe in. You’ll continue to hear it in my music whether you like it or not. And I’ll explain to you. Now the same feminist that will say the woman is free to do what she wants to do and who am I to tell the woman not to put herself up for money?
“The same feminist that will say that women are being objectified and that is not allowed. Now you are that same person that is going ahead to commodify yourself, you’ve turned yourself into a commodity. Self-objectification, self-commodification, I detest it and I’ll continue to detest it.”
“Their argument often is that I speak about the runs girls and I don’t often talk about the guys or the aristo men or whatever, if you’re going to talk about an epidemic, obviously you’re going to use the more popular scenario, the more relatable scenario and that is why I always use the runs girls scenario.”

Entertainment / Why Is Forgiveness Complicated by afeeztunde5(m): 12:23 am On 1 Jan 2019
Forgiveness can be tricky and complicated because in most cases, we do not know why we forgive or if we are ready to forgive but rather we chose to follow the crowd based on religious and cultural sentiments and beliefs.
Forgiveness is a beautiful thing when done right, but sometimes we convince ourselves that we have forgiven others when in reality all we did is bury the hurt and the pain and anger and move on like it doesn’t exist.
The thing about burying your feelings is that it will always find a way to come out someday. So in forgiveness, you have to let yourself feel that hurt and gravity of betrayal or pain and then you give yourself time to make peace with it. And most of all you try to forgive and stop blaming yourself for not knowing better.
You haven’t forgiven if you still feel hurt and anger when you look at the person. And no amount of smiles directed at this person will make it go away.
To forgive does not necessarily mean to forget, but it means that you make peace with the hurting and you remember without feeling resentment or anger.
Forgiveness is not as easy as it seems, so give yourself time.

Entertainment / I Won’t Let Anyone Bastardize Fela’s Legacy – Seun Kuti by afeeztunde5(m): 12:20 am On 1 Jan 2019
Consequent upon the comparisons going on in the music industry involving our new generation artistes and the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti has expressed his dislike towards such unhealthy comparisons with his father.
When Wizkid took Nigerian sound across borders, many crowned him a king in the likeness of Fela. Some even said he had done better than Fela; not just in terms of music, but in the accumulation of babymamas, mass production of children, and weed smoking. Lately, the comparison has centered on Burnaboy, especially on account of his smoking habit.
Seun Kuti considers all of that an insult to his father’s legacy. Unable to take it any further, he came out in public to warn against the continuation of all unhealthy comparisons to his late father. He made the warning during a recent interview where he was asked if Fela would support the present government. Seun said he would have been president.
According to him, if his father were alive, no politician would have been better qualified to be the president of Nigeria than Fela. This is one of the reasons why he hates the trending comparisons to his dad and wants it to stop!!!

Entertainment / Moving On And Letting Go by afeeztunde5(m): 12:19 am On 1 Jan 2019
We like to convince ourselves that giving up and letting go is something that only quitters and losers do. But we forget that quitting is not always a bad thing and one sign of wisdom is to genuinely understand when to let go.
Letting go is very hard, especially when you keep receiving mixed signals. And in most cases, you can’t really measure when it is worthy enough to let go off and that can lead you to keep holding on to things that do not necessarily benefit you.
Sometimes, instead of hoping blindly and holding on to something that isn’t showing any sign of progress, it is best you move on and allow space for growth and development.
Another difficult thing after letting go is moving on. Moving on is hard and most times you feel stuck and helpless.
But just because it is hard doesn’t mean that it is impossible. It is nice to know when to quit and it is nice to try again and remember not all people are the same and sometimes this process can happen more than once but that doesn’t mean better things are not yet to come.

Art and Art Works / Charity Begins At Home: Mayorkun Sets Up A Barbing Salon For His Uncle by afeeztunde5(m): 11:11 pm On 1 Jan 2019
In the spirit of “rising by lifting others” which Davido preaches, Nigerian artiste, Mayorkun, who is Davido’s artiste, played by his boss’ rule by setting up a barbing salon for his uncle. According to him, it’s his way of giving back to society.
When it comes to “giving back to society,” many people seem to take their generosity and benevolence to strangers and never stop to consider their own families. Even the bible states that “a man who does not take care of his own household is worse than an infidel.” Mayorkun would have to die first before letting his reputable name make it to the list of such men.
He decided that it was time to give back to the society, and his first port of call was his own uncle. He decided to start giving back to the society by lifting people in the community where he grew up. Of all the people in that community, he couldn’t think of any other than his uncle. So he set up a barbershop for him called EMBASSY CUTS. He also advertised it saying;
“Giving back to the community where I grew up! Set up a barbing salon for my uncle. If you are in Ilasamaja, patronize EMBASSY CUTS!!!” There you go! The next time you want to give back to society, you might want to start at home.

Art and Art Works / Falz Attacks Buhari And Others In New Song, "way To Go" by afeeztunde5(m): 11:06 pm On 1 Jan 2019
After taking the nation by a storm with his sensational and expository hit tune, “This Is Nigeria,” Nigerian comic rapper, Falz has come up with another song in which he vehemently attacked President Buhari and others in the APC led government.
Despite the controversies that followed his “This Is Nigeria” song, Falz has not stopped to consider his choice of lyrical content to prevent a repeat of such heated controversies. Recall that several bodies in Nigeria solicited for the ban of his “This Is Nigeria” song? It even got to a point where he was sued and he, in turn, sued those bodies. But the whole matter just died.
Right now, Falz is back with another tune which has already begun shaking tables and making superwaves. His industry colleague, seemingly having the foresight to see what might become of the singer on account of this new song, called on Nigerians to do all within their power to keep Falz protected, as his new song might make him the target of some bad men.
Some lyrics of the song go thus; “We buy your story but you no give us change. In 2019, N19,800 Alawee. Three private jets you say you buy am for church. No be to dey smoke weed, etc.” Many have hailed Falz for his audacity to dare confront the government. He’s even been likened to Fela. But would you say that song with such lyrical content is the way to go???

Art and Art Works / Kizz Daniel’s Manager Reacts To Being Sacked By Flyboi Inc. – by afeeztunde5(m): 11:03 pm On 1 Jan 2019
Kizz Daniel’s “Flyboi Inc. music imprint thought it wise to let go Tumi Lawrence, the label’s former manager shortly after his claim that Davido and his DMW crew slapped him in his concert last December. That issue made rounds on the internet.
While Davido debunked the claim, Kizz Daniel said “sorry” to his manager. Not long after, word reached the public that the manager has been replaced. Fans sought to know the reason for the replacement. But neither Kizz Daniel nor his Tumi Lawrence said a word in that regard. But Kizz Daniel has now spoken. Making known Tumi leave, Kizz Daniel wrote:
“Fly Boy Inc. and Kizz Daniel are under new management led by Rebecca Junaid (@Flyboytexh) and the public relations personnel is Ogaga Sakpaide (@ogagus). Thanks for flying with us. We wish you a prosperous 2019 filled with No Bad Songz.”
Fans then reached out to Tumi Lawrence to hear what he had to say about Kizz Daniel’s update. In all confidence and self-sufficiency, Tumi Lawrence insinuated that Kizz Daniel is too small to sack a “boss” like him. He claimed that he walked away from the label. His words: “Bosses don’t get sacked. They walk away.” Kizz Daniel is yet to react to this.

Webmasters / Finding The Line Between Being Caring And Being Controlling by afeeztunde5(m): 10:58 pm On 1 Jan 2019
Being caring means that you mean the best for someone, support the person while allowing them to enjoy autonomy. Being controlling, on the other hand, means you force or manipulate someone to act according to your standards.
Yet, the difference between these can be subtle so here's how to identify a controlling partner.
1. He gives ultimatums
An ultimatum backs you into a corner. It is not a compromise where both parties let go of something but it forces you to make the sacrifice all on your own.
2. He checks in ALL the time
It is one thing to send you a random text to ask what you have been up to and quite another matter to keep asking where you are, who you are with and probably to speak to those around you.
3. He has double standards
You two have rules that he contravenes. For example, he insists you shouldn't stay out late because he says he doesn't want harm to come to you yet he does same.
4. He doesn't give you ‘alone’ time
When you are not with him, he either makes you feel guilty about it or you end up coming back earlier than you intended.
5. He polices your social media
He tells you what to post, what to take down and could even get upset when a guy likes your posts.
6. You always end up as the bad guy
Fights are normal parts of relationships but if you always feel guilty afterward, even when you are certain you did nothing wrong then he might be controlling you.
7. He gives backhanded compliments
It may sound like a compliment yet you don't feel good about it. It makes you question your adequacy. For example, he says, "I am surprised. You actually look nice o.”
8. He uses your trust against you
When you question something he does, he plays the 'don't you trust/love me?' card.
