Education / Asuu Strike!! What Nigerian Students Must Do. by kenability: 01:55 pm On 1 Jan 2019
Hello postmanians,
I have been wondering what fate awaits our education system under this Government. Please this post is meant to be objective and am not in anyway campaigning for any politician.
INEC released a statistics which shows a strong 24 million number of registered voters are youths and students. With such a number i believe the students can and should rise and change the face of this years election. Am so sorry to say but are we not all tired of the fact that our leaders do not value education? But i blame us yes the youths and even the academia because we have all left politics for the less educated.

Imagine when your president, senator or Governor is a grade II certificate holder in this age of educational advancement.how are they going to value education?

Also imagine the disrespect our constitution gives to education because it qualifies a person to contest for any political office with an SSCE which is not even a qualification used for sales girls jobs now in Nigeria.
How do you expect somebody who never had a tatse of the four walls of the tertiary institution to understand the effects of strikes?

I urge all of us youths and students to be very objective come February and elect people especially lawmakers who are educated and have positive plans for the System. Enough is enough we must use our votes to demand and end to incessant strike and poor attention to education. Until we show we are powerful with our votes these politicians would not take us seriously.
It is now or never.

Crime / Police Brutality And Nigerian Youths by kenability: 10:24 am On 1 Jan 2019
Hello postsmanians,
I had an encounter with the police on Saturday 12th Jan 2019 and since then i have been very worried about the safety of our future.
I had just returned from work at past 8pm and was hungry so i decided to take a shortcut from my house to the road to get a bottle of soda and any available snack. The shortcut happens to be through a police barracks which i know everyone in my area uses.
However, halfway through my journey i was immersed in deep thought of my plans until i heard a voice shout at me hey! Hey!! Who is that? Come here you no dey greet? Who are you come back here!!!! I turned it was dark and upon realization that the voice was referring to me i quickly turned back and headed towards two men standing saying"sorry sir goodevening sir"
The man quickly went into one office and came out with an axe and started shouting at me "my friend you are very stupid!!" If this is tge army barracks will you just pass like that? I see you have no home training !!!
My friend remove that cap!!!! I complied all the while saying nothing in response as he continued to tain insults on me.
"My friend sitdon for ground u dey mad????"
I complied at this point i was very upset and i decided not to respond to him. Then he went on with his insults for about five minutes all the while his colleague was watching...
He came to me and asked what is my name but i kept mute he asked again and i was silent then he hit my back with the back of the axe and told his colleague that he would just give me short sleeve i.e axe my leg since i am being stubborn.
I just sat there mute until his colleague now came and asked me my name an my mission i told him and he told me to get up and go. I stood up but the other one came back and started to shout that i am going no where that i would spend my weekend at the station. But his colleague prevailed and asked me to go back instead of going through to my destination.
At this point i left that place with alot of anger and questions.
What did i do wrong?
Is it a crime not to greet the police?
What should i do in such situations next time?
Are the police not supposed to protect?
What is the future of a struggling Nigerian youth in the hands of police,?
How can a victim get justice?
Please postsmanians i need your take on this issue share experiences as well.
