THE PRIVATE sector has warned political parties of budget constraints if they propose contesting populist policies in the coming election while many businesses want to see political stability as a priority.
The post-election government should focus its economic policies on promoting Thai-manufactured goods and industry 4.0 transformation, support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and boost Thai exports, they said.
Most political parties are espousing economic policies that involve high budget spending when the country has a limited revenue potential from the current tax system, chairman of the tax and regulation committee of the Board of Trade, Kitipong Urapeepatanapong, said.
“No political party is stating clearly how they will finance their populist policies. This means all their economic policies, especially those involving spending for ageing people, lower-income people and children cannot be implemented when they form the government,” Kitipong said.
For example, one political party has a policy to increase monthly payments to citizens aged above 60 to Bt3,000 per month.
Currently, the government spends between Bt60 billion and Bt70 billion for a monthly subsidy of Bt600 per person, per month, according to Finance Ministry reports.
When this monthly subsidy is hiked to Bt3,000 per head monthly, the government will need much more than the current Bt70 billion a year, but the political party does not say how it plans to increase revenue to fulfil its promise, he said.
“In my view, most of the economic policies that promise payments to people cannot be implemented, as parties are not revealing how they will meet the budget demands, which cannot be achieved without increasing tax revenue,” Kittipong said.
Some policies will involve amending taxation laws but they do not say what they will do, he said.
“That’s the reason why their economic policies cannot be implemented when they form the government,” he said.
Punyapon Tepprasit, chief executive officer of MVP Consultant and MBA lecturer in industrial management, Ramkhamhaeng University, said it is a matter of concern that most political parties are proposing populist policies to gain votes by targeting segments of society. Populist policies in many foreign countries have led to collapse of the economic system, Venezuela being a prime example. Political parties mostly likely to receive a majority of votes are Democrat, Pheu Thai and Phalang Pracharat, he said.
While the Democrats are focused on tackling poverty, its rival Pheu Thai is laying emphasis on strengthening SMEs, which cover a large section of domestic businesses in almost all sectors as a real driver of the economy for the long term, he said.
The pro-junta Phalang Prachart formulated its policies in line with the 20-year national strategy for continuity of the current economic regime, Punyapon said.
Investors in the stock market, however, hope for political and economic stability after the election to boost capital inflows into the Stock Exchange of Thailand. “For investors, it is not important which political party forms the new government, as long as it can offer stability and there is no political turmoil,” said Paiboon Nalinthrang-kurn, chairman of the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisation (Fetco). Political protests after the election could damage the economy and hurt investor sentiment, he said.
Also, he added, foreign investors were particularly worried that the new government would be weak, which could lead to political unrest.
The new government should promote industrial goods that are made in Thailand with a “make in Thailand” policy in order to support the growth of the manufacturing sector, suggested Kriengkrai Thiennukul, vice chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). The new government should give priority to the distribution and consumption of Thai manufactured goods, he said.
“Furthermore, the new government should continue to support the development of industry 4.0 in the country,” he added. “This includes supporting industrial transformation through promoting the adoption of new innovative technology by manufacturers, or through increasing the workforce’s digital capabilities.”
Kriengkrai also urged the new government after the election to continue to develop S-Curve industries in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), a flagship project launched by the junta-backed government.
Speaking on the sliding export figures since mid-2018, the FTI vice chairman urged the post-election government to push for new free-trade agreements in new markets, mentioning Africa and Russia as potential targets for Thai exports.
The new government should support the development of SMEs, especially their digital transformation, as well as the reskilling of the workforce, said Yunyong Thaicharoen, first executive vice president and head of Siam Commercial Bank (SCB)’s Economic Intelligence Centre.
He called for a holistic and detailed action plan by the new government to support SMEs and develop the skills of the Thai workforce.
With people seeking higher incomes, the most effective method to increase the workforce’s income would be to add value to both SMEs and the workforce through digitisation and reskilling, respectively, he said.
Furthermore, the new government should also continue the current public investment plans, especially in infrastructure, such as mega-transport projects, or in the EEC,” he added.
“Public investment will be a key driver of economic growth this year. We have predicted that public investment will grow by up to 7.2 per cent, and will be directed to the EEC and other mega-projects initiated by the government,” he said.
Yunyong said he did not think that the upcoming election would have any disruptive impact on the overall public investment figures.

Is good to be in love. Everybody knows that but apply God's wisdom in your relationship. TORONTO (Reuters) - Three generations of a Canadian family were among the 157 people who perished when Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET 302 crashed on Sunday, a relative confirmed on Wednesday.
They were on their way to a Kenya vacation when the plane crashed minutes after takeoff from Addis Ababa, killing passengers and crew from more than 30 countries.
Prerit Dixit, 43, and Kosha Vaidya, 37, their daughters and Ashka Dixit, 14, and Anushka Dixit, 13, and Vaidya’s parents Pannagesh Vaidya, 73, and Hansini Vaidya, 67, were among the 18 Canadians killed. They lived in Brampton, a Toronto suburb.
“This is terrible and tragic,” Manant Vaidya, brother of Kosha Vaidya, told Reuters. “It feels as if my whole support system has disappeared. I have no idea how we will cope up with this tragedy.”
The Dixit-Vaidya family was flying to Kenya so that Kosha Vaidya could show her Canadian-born daughters the country of her birth, Manant Vaidya said, adding his parents were returning there for the first time in more than 50 years.
Manant Vaidya works for the Reuters parent company Thomson Reuters. He plans to fly to Ethiopia on Saturday and from there to Mumbai for the final rituals of the deceased.
Dixit worked at medical-testing company LifeLabs as a lab technician and as a lab professional for Public Health Ontario. In email statements, both remembered his helpful and pleasant demeanor, his sense of humor and his dedication to family.
Kosha Vaidya had been a human resources adviser for the Canadian Hearing Society since 2017, the organization said in a website statement, adding she would be “remembered for her intelligence, professionalism and dynamic personality.”

Hidden in the most recent version of Chrome is the ability to change its default search engine to a more privacy-friendly option. With the release of Chrome 73, Google has quietly introduced DuckDuckGo as a preferred search option in more than 60 markets including the United States and the United Kingdom.
While Google didn't offer much fanfare for the change -- at least in comparison to flagship features like new support for media keys -- the change can be spotted on
GitHub. In a note on the code repository site, Google acknowledges that it updated the available search engines based on "new usage statistics" from "recently collected data." In most countries, the list of options also includes Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Google's decision to add the privacy-minded DuckDuckGo to its list of available search engines comes as the company faces scrutiny for creating and abusing its monopoly over search. Google has already been hit with antitrust fines from the European Union for using its market dominance for its own benefit and has recently received similar lines of inquiry in the US. Adding DuckDuckGo to the list of available search engines seems like a very small concession as the company tries to dodge further penalty.

Robots typically aren't good choices for studying deep sea animals like jellyfish -- not when their light, noise and movement can scare away those creatures. Researchers at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution may have a far less intrusive option, though. Their
planned Mesobot observer is designed to move as quietly as possible while collecting data about aquatic life. The four-foot-tall robot moves using six large but low-power thrusters that won't cause a stir, and its LED lights can switch to red (which many deep sea species can't see). A two-day running time should also minimize attention-getting trips to the surface.
It crucially won't need much human intervention. Mesobot uses stereo cameras to identify target animals and can follow them around on its own. A 12-megapixel camera can take both pictures and 4K video, while a particulate sampler could collect DNA traces floating in the water. It could also study water traits like salt levels and dissolved oxygen.
Woods Hole expects Mesobot to be ready for testing in early 2019 (that is, very shortly), and could embark on its first real dive in the summer. When it does, it could provide a new level of insight into sea life hundreds or thousands of feet below the waves. Human divers can be extremely stealthy, but they can't stay for very long -- Mesobot could hang around long enough to discover behavior that people would otherwise miss.

The police on Wednesday arraigned a farmer, Sanda Bakura, in a Mgistrates’ Court in Minna for allegedly stealing 150 cows and slaughtering 50 others.
Bakura, whose address was not given, is charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy and theft.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. John Steven, told the court that one Mohammed Mohammed reported the matter at the Erena station on March 6.
Steven alleged that the accused conspired with others, at large, invaded the complainant’s farm and stole 150 cows and killed 50 others.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 97 and 287 of the Penal Code.
After the charges were read to him, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, prayed the court for adjournment to enable police complete investigation into the matter.
In her ruling, Magistrate Mariam Kings, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Kings adjourned the matter until March 28.

LONDON/MILAN: Juventus shares soared more than 20% on Wednesday after Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to overturn a two-goal deficit and defeat Atletico Madrid in a key Champions League match.
The victory on Tuesday night put the Turin-based club through to the quarterfinals of the competition, qualifying the Italian champions for about 10.5 million euros (US$11.9 million) in additional payments.
The cash would be on top of the 9.5 million euros the Italian club received for reaching the last 16.
At 0940 GMT, the shares were up 16% topping the leader board on the Milan bourse after hitting their highest since late January in early trading.
The shares were on track for their best day since Oct 2013.
“Considering the amount they gain by qualifying for the next round against the odds, it is quite fair,” said a trader.
“Plus looking forward, the only obstacle for them might be Barcelona (if they do qualify) or possibly Man City, the other clubs aren’t that great.”
Juventus are controlled by Exor, the investment holding of Italy’s Agnelli family, which owns nearly 64% of the soccer team.

William “Rick ” Singer, 58 , pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges related to running the scheme through his Edge College & Career Network, which charged from $ 100 ,000 to as much as $ 2 . 5 million per child for the services , which were masked as contributions to a scam charity Singer runs .
“ I was essentially buying or bribing the coaches for a spot ,” Singer said as he pleaded guilty to charges including racketeering, money laundering and obstruction of justice. “ And that occurred very frequently .”
Dressed in a dark sweater blazer, wearing glasses , her hair in a ponytail, Huffman , best known for her role in the TV series , “ Desperate Housewives, ” was among around 20 defendants who appeared in a Los Angeles court.
Many were slumped in chairs and one woman tried to hide her face . Huffman ’ s actor husband William H. Macy, known for roles in movies such as “ Fargo ” and the hit TV series “ Shameless” , sat in the front row of court wearing a gray sweater coat .
Magistrate Judge Alexander MacKinnon ordered Huffman ’s release on a $ 250, 000 bond before a March 29 hearing in Boston .
All the defendants who appeared in the U. S . District Court in Los Angeles were likely to be released on bond, Thom Mrozek , a spokesman for the U.S . Attorney ’s Office , said in an email .
Macy has not been charged in the case, but Assistant U. S . Attorney Adam Schleifer told the court he was a “ subject of the investigation.”
Loughlin ’s husband Mossimo Giannulli , a fashion designer known for his “Mossimo” brand , sat in court wearing a hooded sweatshirt and close- cropped hair. He was released on a $ 1 million bond. Loughlin , best known for her role in the ABC sitcom “Full House” and the recent Netflix sequel “ Fuller House,” has also been charged.
Huffman , Giannulli and Loughlin have yet to enter pleas .
Latest college scandal
The case was the latest in a series of scandals that have rocked the high- stakes, high - stress world of admissions to top colleges. Prosecutors in Boston in recent years have also charged Chinese nationals with cheating on entrance exams , while the College Board , which administers the SAT tests , was rocked in 2016 by a security breach that exposed hundreds of questions planned for tests.
Some 300 law enforcement agents swept across the country to make arrests in what agents code- named “Operation Varsity Blues .”
Prosecutors have so far named 33 parents , 13 coaches and associates of Singer ’s business .
Other parents charged include Manuel Henriquez, the chief executive of specialty finance lender Hercules Capital Inc; Gordon Caplan, the co - chairman of international law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher; Bill McGlashan Jr. , who heads a buyout investment arm of private equity firm TPG Capital ; and Douglas Hodge, the former CEO of the investment management firm Pimco .
Representatives for the companies, and for Huffman and Loughlin , either declined to comment or did not respond to requests for comment.
The alleged masterminds of scam and parents who paid into it could all face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
On a call with a wealthy parent, prosecutors said, Singer summed up his business : “What we do is help the wealthiest families in the U.S . get their kids into school. ”
No students have been charged and authorities said some of them were unaware of the scams.
Prosecutors said it was up to the universities what to do with students admitted through cheating .
Yale University and the University of Southern California ( USC ) said that they were cooperating with investigators.
“ The Department of Justice believes that Yale has been the victim of a crime perpetrated by its former women’ s soccer coach , ” Yale said in a statement .
The coach , Rudolph Meredith , resigned in November after 24 years running the women ’s soccer team . Meredith , who is accused of accepting a $ 400, 000 bribe from Singer, is due to plead guilty , prosecutors said . His lawyer declined to comment.
John Vandemoer , a former Stanford University sailing coach who worked with Singer, pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy on Tuesday .
Learning disabilities
Prosecutors said the scheme began in 2011 and also helped children get into the University of Texas , Georgetown University , Wake Forest University and the University of California , Los Angeles (UCLA ).
Part of the scheme involved advising parents to lie to test administrators that their child had learning disabilities that allowed them extra exam time .
The parents were then advised to choose one of two test centers that Singer’s company said it had control over : one in Houston, Texas , and the other in West Hollywood , California .
Test administrators in those centers are accused of taking bribes of tens of thousands of dollars to allow Singer’s clients to cheat, often by arranging to have wrong answers corrected or having another person take the exam . Singer would agree with parents beforehand roughly what score they wanted the child to get.
In many cases , the students were not aware that their parents had arranged for the cheating, prosecutors said , although in other cases they knowingly took part. None of the children were charged on Tuesday.
Singer also helped parents stage photographs of their children playing sports or even Photoshopped children’s faces onto images of athletes downloaded from the internet to exaggerate their athletic credentials.
Wake Forest said it had placed head volleyball coach Bill Ferguson on administrative leave after he was among the coaches accused of accepting bribes.
According to the criminal complaint , investigators heard McGlashan of TPG Capital listening to Singer tell him to send along pictures of his son playing sports that he could digitally manipulate to make a fake athletic profile.
“ The way the world works these days is unbelievable,” McGlashan said to Singer, according to court papers .

I don't know why this came afresh but i believe is for someone out there.
I was talking with someone some years back. After the conversation the person said, do you know a snake just passed you by. I screamed and said why didn't you tell me. The person said, if i tell you, you will have loosed concentration, stepped on the snake and the snake will have bite you. I said, what if the snake bite me, then the person said, it wasn't sent to you, while you were talking the snake was coming towards your side but later went by when it observed someone was there. I screamed the more as if the snake was right there.
When this memory came afresh then the HolySpirit told me the meaning of what i remembered:
We all need to stay focus on the journey of life. I wasn't looking here and there or thinking something of such can come around. In life we shouldn't have negative things on our mind but positive things. If i had it in mind, i will have seen it and the snake will gave bite and only God knows what will have happened-in life let us stay focus and stop thinking or looking here and there expecting evil to come our way, always stay positive. If the person have told me, i will have loosed concentration and the snake will have bite-like wise in life when things happen , please let us stay focus, when people tell us what we don't want to hear, stay focus because we will be the one to be hurt and they will walk by, just like the way the snake will walk by after biting. In life some people are just meant to walk by our life without hurting but when you step on them, they hurt you back than you ever imagine. The outcome of the hurt is what you won't like and where the hurt will take you to, you don't know.

Text: Proverbs 16vs 9 A man was employed in a company, after five years of working he was told his serivce was no longer needed. He prayed to God. God told him: after some months, he will get another job. On a monday morning he got a call from the company who told him his service was no longer needed that he should resume back, he told the man who called that he will see to it the next day. He called someone who was working there to know why they called him to resume, then the man said, they got no one to take your place, you know your post was a sensitive one but none of us can take the place. He was happy to hear that, he prayed to God if he should resume or not; God said, he should not because another job is available for him. The man called back to hear his response; he said he can't resume. After two weeks the man called and said, his money will be doubled if he resumes, the man insisted i can't resume even if you double it ten times.(his wife heard, she was very angry, she said alot of words and stop taking care of the man until he agrees to go back to the work) Friends called and begged him to resume but he insisted on not resuming. He began to feel somehow because of his wife's behaviour and friends who begged but the Lord said he should not resume. The goodnews is, the month he got a job was the same month is former company fold and all staffs were dismissed. The company where he works now pays four times where he worked before. (let God guide your step, so you won't be mislead) REMAIN BLESSED.

(Guilt is an unhappy feeling that you have because you have done something bad.) Guilt happens in the life of some Christians when they actually committed a sin, they've prayed to God to forgive them but it seems to them that the LORD has not forgiven them, it keeps coming to their mind because the thought still keep ringing has if they've not be forgiven. The devil is the one who brings it to their mind always to make them feel guilty of the sin, he deprive them of the joy they are meant to have. The devil stops them from proceeding Spiritually. He put them in bondage and make them wonder about because he doesn't want them to move forward. This is what GOD says: "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remember your sins no more"- Isaiah 43vs 25, then who is the devil to start roaring the sins which God has forgiven back to your mind again. (Has for you stop thinking of the past sins it only brings discomfort, accept that he has forgiven you) Proverbs 28 vs 13-HE WHO CONCEALS HIS SINS DOES NOT PROSPER, BUT WHOEVER CONFESSES AND RENOUNCES THEM FINDS MERCY-"because you did you conceal your sin you will prosper,and because you confess and renounce them you will surely find mercy". My advice-Do not be pulled down by the guilt of your past sins. Do not allow it stop you from progressing. It is called a past sin (past deed) so let it be and move on with your Spiritual life( Remember Paul(SAUL)-he didn't allow the talk of people or his past sin stop him by the help of God-ACTS 9VS 20-22) IN conclusion- once you repent of all your sins the most important thing is that you do not go back to your sins again- Proverbs 26vs 11(2nd Peter 2vs 20-22) REMAIN BLESSED.

Anger- words said in anger is like a broken egg, no amount of i'm sorry can heal words of anger said to some people because it hurts them.
Anger- it brings discomfort into ones life.
Anger- it deprives you from happiness.
Anger- its not the fruits of the Spirit from God. Galatians 5 vs 22-23
Anger- it doesn't add to your value, it makes you loose your value from those who love you.
Anger- anyone who use the moment of anger to do things, destroy things.
Anger- it hinder blessings.
Anger- it takes one no where but brings one down.
Anger- words said in anger have put so many people in places they don't want to be.
Do not be a partner to anger.
Proverbs 22vs 24-25- Do not make friends with a hot tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered. Or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.
Proverbs 19 vs 11- A man's wisdom gives him patient, it is to his glory to over look an offence.
Proverbs 14 vs 17and 29- A quick tempered man does foolish things and a crafty man is hated. A patient man has great understanding, but a quick tempered man display folly(Foolishness)
Psalm 4 vs 4- In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds; search your heart and be silent.
Ephesians 4 vs 26-27- "In your anger do not sin". Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.

Dupe left Tolu; to go and spend the night at her boyfriend's place, before getting there, Dupe was killed.(A friend who saw Tolu and Dupe said, is Tolu while Tolu said is the boyfriend( Never assume what you aren't sure about. At the same time, don't use the word 'i think something is .......' be certain and sure with your words because whatever you say might either solve or damage someone life. (7) Lying to coverup. E.g- Ade sister has travelled out of the country but he doesn't want anybody to know. Ola-where is your sister? Ade- she has travelled. Ola- to where? Ade- to her friend's place. (Oh no!) You don't need to lie to cover up the necessary things. Just say, i'm sorry, i can't tell you and if Ola ask further (why) then you can say for best reasons known to me. ( you've said it all instead of lying) You might refer that has long story or prolonging of matters but its better not to lie than to lie and be punished. SIN IS SIN, there is no small or big sin. 1st John 3vs 7-8- 'DEAR CHILDREN, DO NOT LET ANYONE LEAD YOU ASTRAY. HE WHO DOES WHAT IS RIGHT IS RIGHTEOUS, JUST AS HE IS RIGHTEOUS. HE WHO DOES WHAT IS SINFUL IS OF THE DEVIL......'

Text: Proverbs 17 vs 21 and 25. A certain couple had been barren for years. All thanks to God, he answered their prayers but unfortunately the son doesn't stay with them, he finds more joy staying at their neighbour's house than his own house. Early in the morning, he will be at the neighbour's house helping them to wash their car, clothes, plates etc. The man got angry to see his only son and child that way, he prayed to see his son recognise him has his father and stay at home doing all he is expected to do at home than been at their neighbour's house. The boy was locked up in his room by his father inother not to go out and disgrace him again. After two hours, he went into the room to check on him, but unfortunately he was not there, he had escaped through the ceiling to the neighbour's house. His father ran to check him there and he saw his son frog jumping and crying, his father asked; what did he do, then the neighbour replied, he broke my plate while washing it, he was too careless and i have to punish him, his father said that's good, you will learn not to be careless again and when you get home, i will also punish you. Hmm, how would you feel when you have a child that doesn't recognise you has his father. This same way God is asking you, how do you expect that man to feel? God has created you to do his will but you find pleasure been a slave to the devil by working for him and satisfying his heart desire. The moment he lock us up are moment we reconcile to him but after few hours or days, you are into the devil's hands again, doing his will. How do you want God to feel about you, when you are been treated as a slave out there while you are meant to be treated as a legitimate SON AND DAUGHTER out there. How do you feel? I know many people will have disown that child or send the woman and child away saying; may be the child belongs to the neighbour but no you do not belong to the devil, you are not meant to be treated like a slave, many people have been cautioned severely but still they escape through the ceiling and still prefer to work as a slave, after many rebuke they still don't find joy been with God expect with the devil. You are for God, you should not be treated as a slave where you ought to be treated as a King and Queen. Look at what happened to him at the end when he was careless(PROVERBS 29 vs 1) The devil dealt with him while on earth and what did the Father (GOD) say; he will also be punished when he get home. Hell is not a better place, do not let God cast you out of his presence on judgement day(HEBREWS 9VS 27) NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU. Run back to GOD because he is calling you(JAMES 4vs 7-10) That neighbour represent the devil whom you answer and satisfy his desires instead of answering God and doing the will of GOD to satisfy him. GOD is asking you, how do you feel if that was your child who treat you that way? We are children in his sight but what kind of child are you- JOHN 8VS 42-47, JOHN 8VS 34 -36. I leave it for you to answer and Retrace your steps- 1st John 5vs 5. I advice you make use of Romans 10 vs 9-10. (1st John 3vs 9) Remain blessed.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Nine female Sudanese protesters were sentenced on Saturday to 20 lashes and one month in prison for rioting, the Democratic Alliance of Lawyers said, a day after President Omar al-Bashir ordered the release of all women detained in anti-government demonstrations.
Bashir declared a state of emergency last month that produced a raft of measures including the establishment of emergency courts across the country such as the one in Khartoum that convicted the nine women.

The first goal of Sterling's quick-fire hat-trick was initially ruled out by referee Paul Tierney after his assistant, Adrian Holmes, had flagged for offside.
Yet a lengthy debate between the officials eventually saw Tierney award the goal, sparking an angry reaction from Watford players.
It was a controversial call from Tierney, with Sterling finding the net after a covering tackle from Daryl Janmaat as he attempted to shoot deflected off the City star and into the bottom corner.
Former Premier League referee Peter Walton explained the incident in the immediate aftermath on BT Sport, stating: "It's whether or not he's interfered with his opponent, but I think he's interfered with his opponent.
"I am surprised it's happened, but when we see the reverse angle we can see the Watford defender has clearly played the ball onto Sterling and he's therefore played Sterling on by deliberately playing the ball.
"In my opinion, I think Sterling has influenced that defender and therefore should have been signalled offside, but clearly the match officials have said that's a deliberate play from the defender, and therefore he's played Sterling onside."
The situation essentially boils down to whether Sterling, who was in an offside position after Aguero's ball in, influenced Janmaat and caused the defender to play the ball onto him.

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
It would therefore appear the referee deemed Sterling was not yet interfering with play at the time of Janmaat's challenge as he had not touched the ball and was not impacting or preventing the player from being able to player the ball.
However, it appeared he was clearly attempting to play the ball as he pulled his right leg back to attempt a shot himself, with the ball eventually ricocheting off his leg to beat Ben Foster.

England had size but for Italy there were only more sighs. The home side have scored more than 100 points in their last two games here in the Six Nations, but they will not win the title if Wales defeat Italy on Saturday, even though the men in white could finish level with them at the top of the table with a vastly superior points difference.
When the Six Nations introduced bonus points three years ago, it was after a longer period of resistance because of the fact that a team could win the grand slam but not the title. A clean sweep for Wales would see them awarded an extra three points to take them beyond England who finish with Scotland here in the last match of the final weekend.
Whatever the outcome, England will look back on their defeat in Cardiff as an opportunity wasted. They did not have to take out their frustration on Italy whose tackling was not robust enough to put down a shop window dummy never mind the likes of Joe Cokanasiga, who was rampant throughout, and Manu Tuilagi, who scored two of his side’s eight tries.
England tend to make fast starts at Twickenham, but it took them seven minutes to fashion a try here. They could have had one in the opening minute after Cokanasiga gathered a chip and passed out of the back of his hand to Tom Curry but the flanker dropped the ball, as if caught by surprise.
The home side fielded a three-quarter line that was not the lightest in their history, but it was pace that unsettled Italy as they conceded a try bonus in 31 minutes. England never allowed their opponents respite and if they defended narrowly, they attacked with width, using the power of Tuilagi and Cokanasiga to take on defenders one-to-one more often than charge through a blue wall.
It took England only a few minutes to abandon their kicking strategy, perhaps put off by the prop Kyle Sinckler putting his boot to the ball just outside Italy’s 22 but finding touch rather than Jonny May. They went direct for their first try after Simone Ferrari collapsed a scrum five metres from Italy’s line and Owen Farrell kicked to touch.
Joe Launchbury caught the ball at the front of the line-out and, as Italy massed to defend that area, England smuggled to the ball outside and met little resistance as they rumbled towards the line with Jamie George in possession. Italy had barely mustered an attack but they were level within four minutes, taking play through a dozen phases before Tommaso Allan dummied into space and, realising that an inside pass to Angelo Esposito was not on, kept going and had the momentum to bundle past Ben Youngs.
Esposito and Youngs missed three tackles in the first half and two led directly to tries. Esposito came off his wing after 14 minutes but barely laid a hand on Elliot Daly as the full-back made an outside break to supply May with his ninth Test try here in his last nine matches. Six minutes later, Esposito made no impact as Manu Tuilagi ran through him and away from Michele Campagnaro for a 50-metre try.
It was too easy for England. After Farrell opted to take three points with a penalty under the posts, Tuilagi caused havoc again, running through Allan to set up Brad Shields for his first Test try and a bonus point that will be academic if Wales secure the grand slam. Esposito’s underwhelming half ended when he chased Jayden Hayward’s kick to England’s line, beating the defenders but not the bounce.
Italy enjoyed the bulk of possession and territory in the opening half, which shows how statistics can mislead as they trailed 31-7. It was to quickly get worse. Cokanasiga drifted into midfield and although he was hauled down just short, he set up a ruck rather than attempt an unlikely offload as he again clutched the ball in one hand. England had a three-man overlap, which George’s long pass to Tuilagi fully exploited with Esposito again left clutching air.
With the contest over, the question was how long would Dan Robson remain on the bench. The prop Dan Cole was the first to leave it after 55 minutes, hardly a finisher but there was nothing to finish. England had used a hefty interval lead in their previous home match against France to go through some defensive sets. They kept out Les Bleus, but Italy worked space for their second try on 53 minutes when Luca Morisi crossed on the left wing.
Robson replaced Youngs with 19 minutes to go and George Ford came on to the pitch with him to complete a new half-back pairing. The match was drifting and the replacements gave it a stimulus, although the next try came when Hayward cleared from under his own posts with George Kruis close enough to shake hands. The ball hit the second row in the face but he barely felt it and reached for the line after a kind bounce.
And then the wait for Robson became worthwhile as he finished off a move started by Daly and taken on by Cokanasiga on an afternoon when the wing invariably defied the first attempt to bring him down, using his right hand to clutch the ball and the left to fend off any attempt to bring him to the ground. He started the match at 6ft 4ins and finished it much taller, possessing not just power but skill, awareness and pace. Stronger sides than Italy would have struggled to contain him.
Shields completed the scoring with his second try after charging down Tito Tebaldi’s kick on Italy ‘s line. It was the Azzurri’s 21st consecutive defeat in the tournament and, other than nightmares about Cokanasiga and Tuilagi, what did they gain from it?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Global stocks fell on Friday and the dollar weakened for the first time in eight sessions after a disappointing U.S. payrolls report fanned concerns that the world economy was slowing.
Global economic growth worries remained on the front burner as data in China showed exports shrank 20.7 percent in February from a year earlier while imports fell 5.2 percent.
Help on the trade front to stem any slowdown did not appear to be on the horizon as White House trade adviser Clete Willems said on Friday that Trump administration officials have not made any new plans to send a team to China for face-to-face trade talks, although negotiators have made progress.
U.S. ambassador to China Terry Branstad told the Wall Street Journal that the two sides have yet to set a date for a summit as neither feels a deal is imminent.
“The market is worried about global growth and it has been worried about global growth for a while, so now you are seeing some confirmation on why the market has been concerned about that,” said Scott Wren, senior global equity strategist at Wells Fargo Investment Institute in St. Louis, Missouri.
Compounding concerns was a U.S. payrolls report that fell well short of expectations, although other measures within the report were strong, sending mixed signals to investors.
“There is a lot of noise in this thing, you almost have to throw this one out the window,” said Wren.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 147.23 points, or 0.58 percent, to 25,326, the S&P 500 lost 21.21 points, or 0.77 percent, to 2,727.72 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 53.73 points, or 0.72 percent, to 7,367.73.
The February data out of Beijing and mixed U.S. payrolls numbers came on the heels of a move by the European Central Bank to slash growth forecasts as it unveiled a new round of policy stimulus on Thursday.
The worries knocked European stock markets lower where the STOXX 600 index suffered its biggest daily percentage drop in a month and worst week this year.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index lost 0.89 percent and MSCI’s gauge of stocks across the globe shed 0.89 percent. MSCI’s index was on pace for its worst week since late December.
Even with the lack of clarity around the jobs report, the dollar weakened for the first time in eight sessions. The Swedish crown fell to a 16-year low, before reversing course, as the Riksbank joined its central bank counterparts in Europe and Canada in adopting a cautious outlook.
The dollar index fell 0.35 percent, with the euro up 0.45 percent to $1.1242.
U.S. Treasury debt yields were modestly lower and relatively stable in the wake of the payrolls report. Benchmark 10-year notes last rose 4/32 in price to yield 2.6213 percent, from 2.636 percent late on Thursday.
The growth worries, along with surging U.S. oil supply, dented oil prices. U.S. crude fell 1.61 percent to $55.75 per barrel and Brent was last at $65.31, down 1.49 percent on the day.

At least 50 migrants were reportedly injured after they staged a protest that was suppressed inside a detention centre in the capital Tripoli, the United Nations said on Friday.
The protest had been "driven by frustration and anxiety" as the migrants had been held for months "in extremely dire conditions," the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR said.

Something strange is going on at Sinemia, where customers are reporting their accounts are being wrongfully terminated. Beginning last week, subscribers of the discounted movie ticket company took to Twitter and Reddit, where they report their accounts have been closed for suspected fraudulent activity. To make matters worse, Sinemia's response has been vague.
Some customers received emails saying their accounts were terminated "by the system automatically" and that no other details could be provided, reports
Business Insider . Sinemia told Business Insider that users were kicked out for "fraudulent activity," but the customers claim that's untrue and unfair. Some were apparently asked to tip the company (a feature Sinemia was reportedly testing) before being cut off.
In response to a request for comment Sinemia said that it "has uncovered more than a thousand variations of fraud and has improved its fraud detection systems accordingly" and that it "detected fraudulent activities by a number of users whose memberships have been subsequently terminated due to violation of the Terms of Service." That said, it's unclear why a number of seemingly well-behaved members are being subjected to these terminations.
This isn't the first time Sinemia users have run into problems using the service. In the past, accounts have been closed over " misuse fees," and users have been asked to provide two forms of ID to unlock accounts. Sinemia has even faced a class-action lawsuit. Just yesterday, Sinemia offered a new ticket discount that doesn't require a monthly subscription, but this might make people think twice before signing up.

Uber is one of a growing number “peer-to-peer” networks touted as a way to save you money, but there’s a lingering question about what these services mean for user rights and privacy.
What seems like booking a low-cost Uber ride from a friendly driver is actually (meaning: mostly) an exchange between you and a massive corporate entity that cooperates frequently with law enforcement.
Recently, the case involving Jussie Smollett shed new light on the issue. The star of the show “Empire” allegedly hired two brothers to stage an attack on him, and the Chicago Police
used surveillance cameras and, more importantly, tracked their Uber ride using credit card records. In fact, it was the Uber purchase that ultimately revealed their identities.
That’s more common than you might think, says attorney Abbas Kazerounian.

“Uber's records are frequently used in criminal cases,” he told Fox News. “In the last six months of 2015, Uber received 415 data requests from various U.S. law enforcement agencies, and almost all of those requests pertained to criminal investigations, such as cases of fraud, theft, or assault. Throughout this six-month time period, only 28 requests for data were from court orders.”
“Technology comes with its own form of fascism,” adds analyst Roger Kay. “The sharing economy is not at all grey. It's a large organization held together by technology, which is quite an exacting master. It's always official. When you book with Lyft or Uber, that record becomes part of a huge database that manages all the resources and handles billing.”
It’s an interesting dilemma. In many ways, you give up your privacy in order to share your data with a massive corporation worth billions (be it Uber, Facebook, or Google). Jumping on a subway or taking the bus (or even using a taxi) does not require quite the same compromise, especially if you pay with cash. With Uber or Lyft, you’re sharing your exact route at all times, in addition to your credit card details, home address, phone number, and more.
“Pretty much everything we do these days is recorded,” says consumer analyst Rob Enderle. “If this was just peer-to-peer, then finding the Uber driver to question would have been a serious problem. It used to be with cabs you needed to know the name of the cab company and likely even the division so you could run down the record. Now all of this is centralized and you can often backtrack through the credit card transaction to the more detailed records.”

“You could argue that Jussie Smollett's arrest was due as much to his own ignorance as it was to a top-notch police investigation,” adds IT analyst Charles King. Indeed, Kazerounian notes that Chicago has the highest number of

Uber declined to comment when contacted by Fox News. In a 2017 blog post , however, the company argues that tech can play an ethical role in both privacy and public safety.
King told Fox News that technology is now so pervasive that many crimes are now traceable.
The burning question, though, is whether non-criminals are happy with this arrangement.

Take Craigslist, for example. It’s a vast peer-to-peer network, but once you share your phone number and email address, it becomes a treasure trove for telemarketers. You purchase a couch or a used car from a neighbor, but there’s always a middle-man.
“Consumers need to be careful not to share personally identifiable information when using person-to-person platforms because even if the person you are interacting with is legitimate, there is a chance that sharing personal information might be displayed on the internet where an illegitimate party might use the information for nefarious purposes,” says Kazerounian.
It’s not just Uber. The phone in your pocket is also tracking your whereabouts, sometimes without your permission based on when and where you attach to a Wi-Fi network. The data is saved forever, and Kazerounian explained that Uber records are used in marital disputes, to prove adulterous affairs, and to show that one party has enough income to pay alimony.

Imperva Security Researcher Ron Masas discovered the flaw and privately reported it to Facebook. The social network has already rolled out a fix.
"I started poking around the Messenger web application and noticed that iFrame elements were dominating the user interface," Masas wrote in a Thursday blog post . "I decided to record the iFrame count data over time for as many endpoints I could find, with the goal of uncovering interesting and detectable states."
He did notice an interesting pattern:
"When the current user has not been in contact with a specific user, the iFrame count would reach three and then always drop suddenly for a few milliseconds," Masas explained. "This could let [an attacker] remotely check if the current user has chatted with a specific person or business, which would violate those users' privacy."
An attacker could have exploited the bug by simply tricking a Messenger user into visiting a malicious site, then getting them to click anywhere on the page, like pressing play on a cute cat video.
To correct the bug, Facebook has removed all iFrames from the Messenger user interface, Masas wrote.
Revelations about the bug come after Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg earlier this week outlined a new plan to build a "privacy-focused" messaging and social networking platform. The idea might seem laughable to those who have been following the company's many recent privacy scandals , but Zuckerberg said he's ready to prove doubters wrong.
"I understand that many people don't think Facebook can or would even want to build this kind of privacy-focused platform—because frankly we don't currently have a strong reputation for building privacy protective services, and we've historically focused on tools for more open sharing," he wrote. "But we've repeatedly shown that we can evolve to build the services that people really want, including in private messaging and stories."

This Friday, the first batch of 2019’s shiny new smartphones – Samsung’s S10 line – lands on store shelves and in people’s hands across the country. It also kicks off a new year of flagship phone launches hoping to invigorate sagging sales.
Not so fast: Why these young consumers are in no rush to upgrade to the new iPhone
Samsung felt the pinch with the Galaxy S9, which worried analysts when it failed to match the sales of the S8 lineup. Apple is noticing a dip, too, with iPhone sales revenue dropping by 15 percent the first quarter of 2019 compared to the year prior.
Are people bored with tech’s “next big thing?” Is there any reason to run out and buy the newest, hottest handsets anymore?
I was there when Samsung unveiled their latest round of new phones in San Francisco in February and, for the first time in about five years of annual unveilings, felt excitement ripple through the crowd. Something is changing. But it’s not here yet.
I mean, sure, the S10 line delivers some of the best new phones on the planet. The overall specs are impressive – up to five cameras (compared to the iPhone’s three lenses), epic battery life, more power than most gaming laptops, and it even doubles as a wireless charger for other devices – but do you need it?
The answer to that question reveals something about the smartphone market that will likely be true for years to come.
Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em
Folding phones are getting all the hype so far in 2019. Samsung also debuted the Galaxy Fold in February, and beleaguered Chinese smartphone maker Huawei matched them with the foldable Mate X. These devices up the ante by doubling up the screen size of a normal smartphone and folding it in half. It also gives us something really revolutionary to get excited about.
But is it the next big thing? Not if your wallet has anything to say about it. The Galaxy Fold carries a price tag of $1,980. The Mate X – which will be hard to buy for anyone in the United States due to government restrictions on the company’s devices – will cost even more, priced at around $2,600.
As much as I want everyone to ooh and ahh when I show up the most amazing new tech around, I can’t imagine shelling out that much money for a first-run folding phone-tablet. Is this really going to recreate the “screen envy” craze of years past? If it sells like hotcakes, you can expect the folding phone trend to grow, but if nobody wants to shell out two grand, it could be a gimmick that dies a quick death, which is what happened when Sony tested similar waters a few years back.
I still own the Sony Tablet P, though I haven’t used it since 2012. It’s a sunglass-case shaped, dual-screen, folding tablet that debuted at CES 2011 for $600 and was dead in the water by the end of 2012. Was that a gadget before it’s time or a sign of more shuttled ideas to come?

We used to buy new phones like we buy new watches, cars, or even the hottest new handbags. Having the best new shiny gadget was as much status symbol as a do-everything device. Now, even those of us who cover tech for a living suffer from mobile-malaise. The overall tech is older, a lot more expensive, and I like to think that we’re all a bit wiser about it all, too.
Today, the main reason to get a new phone usually comes down to your current device having poor battery life after being used all day, every day, for months on end.

It won’t be widespread until 2020 or later.
For most of us, unless your phone is falling apart, there probably won’t be a good reason to buy a new flagship phone anytime soon, and maybe not even in 2019 whatsoever. Of course, I say that, but every year I hope Apple has something up its sleeve to disrupt and truly deliver again. I am actually holding my breath on that.
The few who desperately need to be on the cutting edge of mobile tech – and are for some reason willing to drop a huge amount of money on one of the few foldable phone options that might hit shelves in the next few months – might get a couple of compliments at a local Starbucks with a Galaxy Fold or some other eye-catching oddity, but they’ll be in the minority.
Today, I fall in the wait and see camp. Whether it’s from age, a tighter budget, or a bit of “wired wisdom,” it all comes down to wanting to be truly wowed again. I want this life-changing gadget to do more – and after all these years going all-in on the newest, latest, greatest – I don’t think it’s too much to ask.

A certain man was opportune to meet a rich man who was his neighbor, he never had opportunity to see him because most of the time, the rich man was out of the country. After collecting money from him, he said Lord make me like this man, the rich man heard his prayers, told his driver to alight from the car, while his neighbor came to sit beside him. He opened his trousers for him to see the diseases he had been carrying for years without cure, that is why most of the time he was out of the country while most people thought he went to enjoy every three months not knowing he was going to buy some drugs and go for checkup which won't make the disease smell to others. Immediately the poor man said, i dont pray to be like you. Dont pray to be like anybody. Dont pray to be as wealthy as anybody, you dont know the secret of their success. Only GOD knew what type of sickness befell him. He spent all he had on the sickness, the children too also sent money but when it got to an extent they stopped sending money because they feel their Father was already old, the money they were spending was a waste, if he died, he is not too young, he is old already. Since none of his children were helping him, he sold all his property to survive, but the sickness never cured, families whom he abandoned because he said he can never need their assistant took him from one church to the other to raise fund for his sickness, death never took him away despite all his agony for years. He saw the other way of life at his old age. All attempt to kill himself did not work for him, he spent years in agony. Then he knew God exist and finally gave his life to Christ at the last minutes of his breath when he finally acknowledge that their is GOD.
Retrace your step before its too late, money can't answer it all on earth for you, money will never open the gate of heaven for you, money will vanish but what about your soul on the day of judgement. (Do you wish to rest in peace- Heaven the place of Joy or rest in pieces- hell the place of agony?- Its your choice, choose wisely.

A lot are spiritually filled but are not spiritually controlled, these are people who have the Spirit of God in their life but when the Spirit direct them, they disobey because they just feel their own way is the best. Learn from this disobedient prophet- 1Kings 13. Disobedient leads to destruction, dont let see things in our own way when the Holy Spirit direct us but in the way he has said it. He sees beyond what our physical eye can see. Dont just be spiritually filled, be Spiritually controlled. Be totally obedient-1Samuel 15 vs 20-29- Dont be like King Saul who was disobedient to God's word and got himself destroyed. Dont be a rising and falling Christian
3) Be Spiritually conscious- a man who has the Spirit of God in him,God revealed somethings to him but he did not take note of it or pray about it to have more understanding on what it is. When things happen they will remember it had been revealed to them, because they werent conscious of what God was revealing. Sometimes God will show them certain things but they will wave it without praying over it until it comes to pass then they will remember the Lord has shown them but they waved it not knowing it was an important information.
Sometimes the Lord speak and they doubt because they've allowed the human mind to take control over them at that time because they feel its not meant to be like that- John 10 vs 4.
A man who was told to walk to church. He feels walking will make him get to the church late. He took a bike and after an hour, he realised he was in the hospital, then he remembered he heard God spoke to him once saying- Don't take bike, walk. He said the voice came once and he didnt hear him speak after that, he said he didnt mind. That was all he could remember and that he was seeing the church and was happy he will get there early.
Has a Christian every message passed across must be taken note of, not with levity hands.

than John Rutherford and Craig Chalmers.
Both won the Grand Slam with Scotland,
Rutherford in 1984 and Chalmers in 1990. Both
are British and Irish Lions. Both can't wait to
watch the action unfold at Murrayfield. Here,
speaking exclusively to Sportsmail, the legendary
Scotland stars analyse the much-anticipated
clash between Russell and s*xton.

Johnny s*xton is regarded by many as currently
the greatest No 10 in the world
As former Scotland and British and Irish Lions
tens, how much are you both looking forward to
watching two of the best stand-offs in world
rugby going head to head?
Rutherford: I can't wait for it. It is going to be
some occasion. Both are world class on their day
and I expect them to rise to the occasion at the
weekend.
Chalmers: It will be a terrific match up.
Both had contrasting fortunes in their opening
Six Nations games. s*xton struggled against
England. Gregor Townsend said the game against
Italy was one of Russell's best ever in a Scotland
jersey. Will they go into the match on Saturday
with very different confidence levels because of
that?
Rutherford: I was pleased Gregor Townsend made
a point of saying that about Finn.
He doesn't seem to ever get too high or low
regardless of how he plays but praise is much
better to hear than criticism.
As for s*xton, he is experienced enough to put
his poor performance against England down to a
bad day at the office. He will bounce back against
Scotland.
Chalmers: The England pack really got in the face
of s*xton at the weekend and he had a poor
game but, as they say, form is temporary and
class is permanent. Having a bad game won't
affect him. If anything, it is bad for Scotland as
s*xton will be desperate to make up for that at
Murrayfield.
s*xton will be desperate to make up for poor

Starting with Russell, can you analyse his and
s*xton's performances on the opening weekend
of the Six Nations?
Rutherford: Finn didn't make any howlers, which
as a previous ten myself I know can happen, so
to get through 77 minutes before he came off in
the first game of a major tournament without
putting a foot wrong is a bonus.
He put his team in good positions and helped set
up tries. Some of his kicking game didn't come to
anything but he was always putting pressure on
his opponent by getting them turning in defence
with his kicks. He was steady when needed and
burst into life at just the right times.
Chalmers: I was very impressed by the way he
played. His cross kick for Blair Kinghorn's try and
his grubber kick for Stuart Hogg's were top
drawer.
He made very good decisions and didn't try to
force things, which he used to do a bit. I agree
with Gregor Townsend. That was one of his best-
ever performances for Scotland.
Remember, though, it was against Italy where he
had more space and time than he will get against
Ireland.
No respect to the Italians but it is a huge step up
for Finn against Ireland.
And s*xton?
Rutherford: The English forwards had him rattled
from kick-off and he never recovered. They were
in his face and never let him settle.
He tried everything he could to make an impact
but never got enough good ball. His forwards
didn't protect him enough in defence and he was
rushed with everything he did.
Chalmers: When he had his pass intercepted by
Henry Slade for England's last try, it showed how
frustrated he had become. It was very unlike
s*xton to throw a pass like that. He was under
pressure and was trying to make things happen
for his team. That is never a good position to be
in as a fly-half.

Who is in the best form going into the match?
Rutherford: Based on that first game only, it is
Russell but obviously it is not comparing like for
like. Ireland played England, Scotland played
Italy.
Don't forget s*xton has had just one bad game in
a match where Ireland struggled. He was not
alone in not reaching his full potential in Dublin.
Chalmers: I don't think it matters who is in the
best form. Both know they are starting afresh.
Just because Finn has a good game against Italy
and Johnny a bad one against England doesn't
change anything. It is a new game on Saturday.
In terms of number tens, what does Russell have
that s*xton doesn't and vice versa?
Rutherford: They are very different players with
their own different skills sets.
To be honest, and I hope Craig doesn't mind me
saying this, I think Finn is more like me and
Johnny s*xton is more like Craig.
I love watching Finn when he is on a roll. He has
quick hands, a good rugby brain and he likes
joining the attack even more than I did!
He is a more naturally gifted rugby player than
s*xton by a long way but s*xton's game
management is a lot better.
Chalmers: I totally agree that he is more similar
to John than me in his style of play. Finn plays
off the cuff a lot and releases his backs a lot just
like John used to do. He is a very good
distributor.
His passing game is outstanding and he is now
adding his kicking game to it.
He has always been a brave defender, although a
lot of people haven't noticed that.
Me, I am more like s*xton. Game management
was my big strength and I used to like bossing
players around a lot! s*xton shouts at players
where he wants them to go. He makes sure
Ireland's tactical plan is followed. He is like a
chess master at times with the way he moves his
players around the park.
s*xton is like a chess master at times with way

Bearing that in mind, is it a concern that s*xton
could boss the match against Scotland unless he
is stopped from getting into his stride?
Rutherford: I suppose it will be a concern to a
degree but no more than any other game.
That's because you have to remember Russell
and s*xton can't win games on their own. It all
depends on the forwards.
Your stand-off can shape a game, even if you are
not winning 50 per cent of possession, but once
you get down to say 40 per cent it is really hard
for him to make an impact.
The Scotland forwards can keep Johnny quiet by
getting to him early and rattling him like the
English forwards did. Get Jamie Ritchie flying out
of the back row and into him early on.
Chalmers: Whatever team you are playing for, if
you don't have a platform you will struggle at ten.
To try to force it off slow ball to make things
happen is a dangerous thing to do.
That is when your ten starts making mistakes.
s*xton had a year at Racing 92 earlier in his
career but didn't settle and returned to Leinster
where he became a better player. Russell moved
to Racing 92 in the summer. Do you think it has
made him a better player?
Rutherford: Absolutely. Finn has been fantastic
since his move to France. He has played a lot of
rugby for them in his first season and has a
fantastic partnership with their winger Simon
Zebo.
That pair try a lot of things others wouldn't and
invariably they come off.
I am sure his understanding with Zebo at club
level gave him confidence to try things like that
fantastic kick-pass that set up Blair Kinghorn for
his try against Italy.
Rutherford says Finn has been fantastic since his
move to French side Racing 92
Chalmers: I was a bit concerned about him going
to France. I was concerned, especially with their
other ten Pat Lambie being injured and now
having been forced to retire, he would be forced
to play a lot.
Yes, that has happened but he has taken it in his
stride and, as John said, has found a kindred
spirit in Simon Zebo.
Moving to France took him out of his comfort
zone, helped him mature as a player and really
helped in his development.
When s*xton went to Racing 92 a few years back,
it was a different coaching set up and they were
early in their development as a club.
Just because he didn't settle there didn't make
him a bad player as he has shown since he
moved back to Ireland.
So who is the better player and why?
Rutherford: s*xton is the best fly-half in world
rugby but remember he is further down the track
than Finn Russell.
He is 33 years old. Finn is just 26. Finn's best
years are ahead of him.
Chalmers: Johnny just now but it could be Finn
one day. Maybe he can show he isn't far away
from becoming the best fly-half in world rugby
through his display against Ireland at the
weekend.

Sepang International Circuit remains the host,
and the whole class of 2019 is now ready to
rumble and head out on track for three days of
Official Test.
So who’s that? There are a few key changes in
2019. Perhaps the biggest is one that won’t be
out on track in Malaysia, however, as Jorge
Lorenzo sits out the test due to injury. That
leaves Repsol Honda teammate and reigning
Champion Marc Marquez the only rider in orange,
and he’ll be an interesting one to watch as he
himself also continues his recovery from injury –
although he has, at least, been out on a mini
bike. After a winter away, how will the Champion
feel back on a bike? Marquez will undoubtedly be
the focus of many a Sepang spotlight.
That’s an even bigger question for Cal Crutchlow
(LCR Honda Castrol), as the Brit has been off a
motorcycle since his crash during the Australian
Grand Prix weekend. Breaking his ankle badly and
taking some serious time to recover, the three-
time Grand Prix winner has had a long winter –
but he’ll be back out now, working for his own
season and Honda. Stefan Bradl (Honda Test
Team) will be another out there working for the
Japanese factory, and one more Honda will be in
action: Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu).
The Japanese rider topped the Jerez Test and will
want to translate that pace into some impressive
laptimes around Sepang, too.
The newly-named Mission Winnow Ducati squad
will be an interesting duo. Andrea Dovizioso has
become a mainstay of the podium, the top step
and the top echelons of the Championship, and it
was a Ducati who did the fastest lap at the test
last season – although not his. Now it’s a
different benchmark sharing the red garage, with
Danilo Petrucci moving up to the factory team
and the Borgo Panigale duo eager to keep
showing the incredible form that has
characterized the last two seasons. How will
Petrucci settle in?
Alma Pramac Racing’s two Ducati machines will
be out on track as well, with Jack Miller now the
experienced rider in the squad and aiming for
another step forward this year. That’s as
Francesco Bagnaia joins him in the team, and the
hotly-tipped rookie and reigning Moto2â„¢
Champion will be one to watch. Reale Avintia
Racing’s Tito Rabat will be back at fuller strength
after his injury last season, and Karel Abraham
moves to the team to join the Spaniard – on a
GP18, moving two iterations forward in one leap.
Meanwhile at Yamaha, the test will be crucial.
After problems throughout much of last season
and some key issues identified, the Iwata marque
have been all hands on deck over winter and the
Sepang Test will give some indications as to the
progress made. A veritable armada of Yamaha
riders will be on track, too – Valentino Rossi
(Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and teammate
Maverick Viñales top the bill, but there’s also test
riders Jonas Folger, Katsuyuki Nakasuga and
Kohta Nozane expected to take part.
In addition, Petronas Yamaha SRT join the fold.
The new team have Yamaha machinery and the
tantalising line up of Franco Morbidelli and rookie
Fabio Quartararo, with a lot of interest focused on
both men. The new team and the test rider count
also means the Iwata marque outnumber any
other manufacturer at the first test of the season.
Team Suzuki Ecstar field Alex Rins, another man
aiming for a consistent challenge at the front this
season, and another hotly-tipped rookie in Joan
Mir. They also have a test rider present in the
form of Sylvain Guintoli, with both the veteran
Frenchman and Rins, now a sophomore, adding
some continuity to the Hamamatsu factory’s
programme as Mir settles into life in the premier
class. Suzuki no longer have concessions,
however, after an impressive season last year…
could that play a role in their 2019? After some
more difficult directional decisions for 2017, the
factory want to make sure they have another
stellar campaign.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing arrive with big
designs on the season ahead, too. After a final
round that saw incredible success for the Austrian
factory in all three classes, and injury struggles
largely behind them, there’s a lot of expectation
around the newest factory on the block. For one,
Johann Zarco is a man in the spotlight, as is new
teammate Pol Espargaro after taking their first
ever podium in Valencia. Test rider Mika Kallio is
back from injury, the only bad news for KTM is
the continuing recovery of new signing Dani
Pedrosa. But they also have two more machines
out on track – Hafizh Syahrin and Miguel Oliveira
of Red Bull KTM Tech 3, a sophomore and a
rookie but two riders who are both new to the
machine.
Finally, Aprilia Racing Team Gresini have some
exciting additions for 2019. Andrea Iannone joins
the Noale factory alongside Aleix Espargaro, and
the Italian squad now have test rider Bradley
Smith’s experience to call on as they continue
developing the RS-GP. All three will be on track
at Sepang, and they’ll be aiming to gather
important information to help guide their season
after some struggles in 2018.

For a couple of years, I had a good relationship

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in
Osun on Tuesday said nine persons died in
various road accidents in the state in January.
The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr
Peter Oke, told the News Agency of Nigeria in
Osogbo that the accidents were caused by
speeding, wrongful overtaking and carelessness of
drivers.
“The total number of road traffic accidents for the
month of January was 22 leading to the death of
nine persons,” he said.
Oke noted that 2151 road traffic offenders were
apprehended, out of which 218 were educated
and cautioned on the sensitivity of road driving
during the period under review.
The sector commander further said that no fewer
than 1403 persons were issued with driver’s
licence in the month under review.
He added that the command executed 12 radio
and eight television programmes to educate and
enlighten the public on the dangers associated
with dangerous driving.
Oke warned motorists to always obey traffic
regulations, noting that the command would not
spare any person caught flouting the law .
